I have a big passion for video games, particularly Nintendo, however expanding to many other companies and developers. Since I was young, I've been playing video games. Nintendo has been involved throughout my entire life which is why a lot of my artwork involves their creations. With that inspiration, I have an interest in making animation or art for video games.

The Beginning |
The Evolution |
Ever since I was young, I've been an artist. I played with playdoh and clay with my siblings making all sorts of things, and always drawing cute animals. However, it wasn't until around 2010 when the beginning of my animation dream began. I received a Nintendo DSi for Christmas from my parents and with it, a program called "Flipnote Hatena" was installed.
Flipnote Hatena was a program where you could draw on the touch screen, flip the page and draw something new on a new page. I really got into it, and on the first day I got it, I had made my first animation. A very terrible animation at that, but still an animation. I used it for years, creating over 200 flipnotes - evolving my drawing style and improving on my animations - until the program shut down in 2013. Throughout that time, I took interest in many computer technology classes, as well as spending my lunches making stick figure animations with the Pivot StickFigure animator and experimenting in Flash. Since graduating high school, I decided that I would pursue the animation career, so I applied to NSCC for the Digital Animation program. I was declined. I was worried if animation was something I wasn't meant to do. I spent the entire year applying to jobs, getting plushie commissions, and redoing my portfolio to apply to NSCC again. This time, I was accepted, and thus, the true rebirth of my animation career. I have since graduated from NSCC with a diploma in Digital Animation! |
